Prepping for the 2014 TCS New York City Marathon

A graduate of St. John’s University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Ellen Scharaga has played a major role in administration and compliance control within several pharmaceutical firms for over 30 years. On a local level, Ellen Scharaga continues to support charitable causes in Melville, New York, and surrounding areas, including the annual New York City Marathon.

Growing from only 55 finishers to more than 50,000, the New York City Marathon has become one of the city’s most memorable events. At this year’s event on November 2nd, 2014, marathoners may run on behalf of the charity of their choosing for guaranteed entry into the largest marathon in the world. The course consists of a 26.2-mile course winding throughout all five boroughs of New York City, beginning on the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge (the longest suspension bridge in the United States) and ending in Central Park. Attendees are also invited to attend the Health and Fitness Expo hosted at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center from October 30th to November 1st, for even more activities and race information.
