ASHP 2015 Summer Meetings and Exhibition Head to Colorado

Working with Alegria Specialty Pharmacy in Manhasset, NY, just outside of Melville, Ellen Scharaga is tasked with enhancing the company’s productivity. To ensure she stays actively aware of industry practices, Ellen Scharaga maintains membership with the American Society of Hospital Pharmacists (ASHP).

ASHP, now known as the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists , represents more than 40,000 professionals, including pharmacists, technicians, and students. ASHP give members access to a variety of benefits, such as continuing education courses and career services. In addition, opportunities to network and grow proficiency in the field of pharmaceuticals are available though the organization’s many sanctioned events.

On June 6, 2015, ASHP hosts its annual Summer Meetings and Exhibition. The five-day event takes place in Denver, Colorado, at the Colorado Convention Center and offers four content-targeted conferences all at once. Conference topics are ambulatory care, information technology, medication safety, and pharmacy practice and policy. All presentations, events, and sessions are available to registered guests.

Those who register on or before April 30 receive a discounted rate of $570 and $920 for ASHP members and non-members, respectively. Thereafter, registration increases to fees up to $1,240. Special rates are also granted to students, residents, technicians, and retired professionals. One-day registrations and fees for individual events are offered as well.
