Experienced pharmaceutical science professional Ellen Scharaga serves as an operational consultant at Algeria Specialty Pharmacy. In this role, she provides assistance in developing and delivering new and innovative specialty medications to manage certain chronic conditions. Ellen Scharaga is also a member of the Hematology/Oncology Pharmacy Association (HOPA).
Committed to advancing the practice of hematology/oncology to optimize patient care, HOPA is hosting HOPA Ahead 2020, the organization’s 16th annual conference, on March 11-14, 2020. The conference will be held in the Tampa Convention Center in Tampa, Florida.
HOPA Ahead 2020 will help pharmacists, pharmacy researchers, technicians, administrators, interns, and residents who specialize in the practice of hematology and oncology, to improve the efficiency of their healthcare delivery and to maintain quality of patient care.
Conference participants will learn about the latest developments in clinical trials, treatment guidelines, therapeutic regimens, and emerging technologies. Attendees will be taught how to better participate in clinical decisions and healthcare initiatives that have a direct impact on managing care for cancer patients.
Additionally, the participants will be educated about promising research and provided with clinical updates on new supportive care therapies. The conference will also provide an overview of common technical and clinical issues arising in hematology and oncology clinical settings.
