With a goal to manage and tackle numerous diseases, Ellen Scharaga is Alegria Specialty Pharmacy’s operational consultant, making her responsible for the development of innovative specialty medications. Alongside her professional duties, Ellen Scharaga holds membership with a range of organizations, including the Hematology/Oncology Pharmacy Association (HOPA), an educational group that publishes research in the area.

The association has entered into an agreement with The Lynx Group, publisher of the Journal of Hematology Oncology Pharmacy (JHOP), to name it HOPA’s official publication. Announced on March 16, the partnership will make JHOP a platform for the organization to release original findings, alongside industry best practices.

The Lynx Group has been publishing JHOP since 2011, with the journal providing oncologists and hematologists with peer-reviewed studies and research written by experts in their areas. HOPA president David DeRemer notes that the organization looks forward to the ongoing partnership, which will allow it to provide members with a valued resource.

This was echoed by The Lynx Group’s executive vice president Russell Hennessy, who stated that he looks forward to offering high-quality content to HOPA members.
